What is inclusive schooling?
An inclusive school is a diverse community of learners where all
feel welcomed, teach and learn from each other, and are actively engaged in a supportive environment in order for ALL students
to achieve at higher levels. In this environment each student's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs are addressed
through collaboration with students, teachers, administrators, and families.

Our Mission
We are a group of mid-west parents, teachers, and community members brought together by the desire
to support efforts that more fully include children with disabilities in our area schools. This quarterly newsletter is dedicated
to enhancing the education of all our children by providing a place to celebrate successes and offering a forum to discuss
the challenges associated with moving towards full inclusion.
We need your support:
Inclusion News is a free publication that goes to parents, family members, teachers, doctors and
other professionals who support children with special needs. Inclusion news is supported through the kindness of its
subscribers, grants and endowments from private donors. If you would like to help support our publication please make your
